HONDURAS MISSION

The Rose-Woods Team Mission Team

Come and See

The Rose-Woods Team is a short-term mission trip ministry that partners with Commissioned International, formerly known as BMDMI. The team serves communities in Honduras through clinics providing medical, optical, and dental care, as well as through evangelism, children’s ministry, and community support. Volunteers come from Indianola First Methodist Church and from other locations across the southern United States. These trips offer participants the opportunity to meet physical needs while sharing the gospel, giving them a firsthand experience of God’s work in a different culture.

History of the Trip

The mission trips began in the early 1980s with a small team from Indianola. The first trips included a few volunteers who traveled to remote villages to provide medical care, basic evangelism, and community support. Over the years, the team has grown to include medical, optical, and dental professionals, preachers, and volunteers serving in a variety of ministry roles. These trips continue to provide opportunities to meet physical needs and share the gospel, giving volunteers a firsthand experience of God’s work in a different culture while building long-term relationships with the communities they serve.
